In the interest of creating some fun spirited discussion... I want to know those bikes out there that you think are overrated, but others just LOVE!

Anything made by Harley Davidson(TM). Yeah they make a good bike, but there prices are redic  You know your products are overpriced when Dr. and lawyers buy them as statis symbols.

Id really like to own a chopper.... not just a generic one but one with my design, 100inch s&s motor.... 250 wide rear... rigid- drag bars... jockey shift... it would just be a toy... but one day. Oh ya, and every other sport bike made... just cause...lol:rad:

Nothing personal for the hyabusa owners out there, but isnt 1000 cc's enough? and now theres the Kawasaki ZX1400. fastest bike in the world...but how does it rate against a motogp bike on the track? that would be interesting to find out.

The big bikes like mine and the ZX14 aren't made to carve like the 600's and 1000's.:ride: That's not why I bought mine though. Power, yes but the smooth lines also appealed to me. It's actually a comfortable touring bike as well. (to me anyway) There is no other bike out there that I would trade my busa for. Did I enjoy my 600rr and 954rr? yes quite a lot actually but my busa is just on a different level that seems more suited to who I am and how I ride.

I totally understand what youre saying Mark, but then shouldnt Suzuki market the Busa under the "Sport Touring" class instead of a supersport bike. Dont get me wrong, I think the busa is an absolutely gorgous bike. As you said, it has beautiful lines. But I have never seen a moto-gp race that consisted of 1300 and 1400 cc bikes.

I really don't like Ninja's. I don't really have a reason other than I hate they way they look. They're nice bikes, I just would never own one.
Eh, sorry!:idunno:

I agree with the Harley post. HD is CRAZY expensive for what you get. Also, now that the market is flooded , Harleys don't hold their price like they used to.

Like the salesman once told me, as I was trying to decide between a 'Busa and a GSXR, " The 'Busa is a young man's Goldwing". So I bought the GSXR :rad: However, there are days I wish I had chosen the 'Busa, like after a 30 min ride, Followed by numb butt. One trip to Florence was enough for my wife on the back, she couldnt walk when we got home :crying:

BAH! I Corbin saddle will fix the numb butt, and there are a variety of things to fix handle bar vibration (if that's a problem). As for your wife, just tell her to take a nap - that's what my wife does and she can ride on the back for hours!

He's right, there are ways to deal with the numb butt.we road sportbikes to Laguna, I would advise a throttle lock for long runs.

+1 BIG time! I also like using a throttle rocker (as opposed to a throttle locker) in conjunction. Really eases the pain in your hand that can result from holding the throttle for extended periods.

Maybe its because your Duc won't stay running for long enough for you to get numb butt :lol:its ok tom, i know you make these mean little comments because you are jealous :smilewink i think its because i'm always hanging off the seat, so all the pressure is on my wrists... they tend to get most of the numbness problems

There's a cure for that too, and it's all about using your abdominal muscles to support your upper body while not putting any weight on the handle bars.

Heard this somewhere, "the most difficult part of the motorcycle to fix is the nut that connects the handle bars to the seat."

I dont know...i hate questions like this cuz every bike is both perfect for a certain situation and overated in other. The GSXR, on the other hand, is a perfect balance of perfect and over-ration (yes, i know - real words are also overated). As far as comfort goes, i have not pushed it for more then a few hours and dont want to cuz i did not buy the bike for roadtrips. I do get tired and 'buzzy' but either leaning in on your elbow on the tank or down futher supporting yourself on the frameslider with a locked elbow changes it up enough. I tottaly agree with the HD thing though. I also hate how owning a Harley excludes you from being freindly on the road with other bikers. I loved that pick a while ago of the HD factory urination (Oregon Sportbike maybe?) Hilarious. But, what ever makes you happy makes you a better person so for each his own.:bowtie-gu

And here I was thinking you didn't get numb butt because Ducati sees fit to install a mouse pad where a seat should be! :bash:

gotta say, that mouse pad is way more comfy than the mini-arm chair cushion that came with the ninja...
