Well I F up big time. I stripped an allen bolt trying to install a frame slider on my brothers new Ninja bike:yell:. Now I'm reluctant to do anything else. Any experience mechanic out there can lead me some advice:confused:. Hopefully he'll never find out :D.

Thanks you.

if there is enough room on the head try putting a pipe wrench on it. or you will probably have to drill a hole in the center of the bolt. (big enough to relieve some of the pressure off the threads) Make sure it is center and strait so you kon't screw up the threads on the motor. take an easyout that fits in the allen head. will have to tap in with a hammer and try loosing the bolt. don't use to much force on the easyout because they do break.

also does the allen bolt have a pinch bolt on the head to keep from loosing up. My bike has one. Make sure you loosen that up to or it won't come out.

you might also be able to take a chisel and hammer and tap it counterclockwise. Not sure what that threaded nut with the 4 groves in it is. can't tell from pics.

Try a left handed drill bit, It will drill the needed hole plus if it catches it will remove the bolt, then you could use bolt extractor. you also could try vise grips it as it looks fairly open.

take a cut off wheel and cut a notch in it so that you can use a big flat head screw driver.

I think I'm going to buy a bolt extractor and a vise grip from sears or Harbor and freight. I'll try that and first. Thanks for everyone advice.

Finally went to Home Depot and got myself some irwin bolt-outs and it worked like a charm. Its crazy how easy it was to remove it with the bolt-outs, it only took like 30secs to take the bolt out.http://www.zxforums.com/forums/images/smilies/clap.gif So I'm glad now.

Thanks for everyones help.http://www.zxforums.com/forums/images/smilies/rofl.gif
