Hey all! I haven't been posting much lately. Painting the house is taking FOREVER! I'll be plugging away at it this weekend until it gets done. I am horrible at asking for help but... here goes. If anyone wants to pop over and splash some paint on my walls, I'll be BBQing and have lots of brew in the fridge (if your not on a bike that is :p ) all day on Saturday the 18th. Just PM me for directions. Thanks! :D

So there'll be brew in the fridge for those not on a bike? Does that mean I can drink beer and drive away as long as I'm in my car?

I think I can handle throwing around some paint. It probably isn't as much fun when the paint doesn't come in little balls fired from a gun, but we can make it work. :smilewink Count me in.

Tom...You can add some texture and interest to those walls. Bring the paint gun and go for it!!!

As long as we can use the right color... a paintball gun may help me get it done faster.. :D Can't do any worse than I already have on it. I splash alot.

Hopefully it will get done pretty early, I'm going to start first thing in the AM so that maybe it will be done before it gets so hot that the paint dries in the bucket (like it has been). Maybe we can ride in the afternoon? It just needs a second coat on the thin spots and some eaves and parts of the foundation painted. Any :lets-eat: food/drink requests???... I'd be more than happy to oblige! :D

haha! That's good Tom...how bout some caviar and champagne too?

Is this indoor or outdoor painting Karen? I talked to B and he thinks we should be able to make it but he says he really should "pull a Karen" and not show up since you didn't come to his (feel free to kick him in the a$$...I encourage abusing him!)

Let me know if we can bring anything!

Its outdoor. I sure hope the weather co-operates! If you feel like bringing something, anything would be great, but I'll have a bunch of stuff here too. I'm prone to over-buying for stuff like this. Tell B that he can kick the van that made me a no-show when you guys come over... but then again, parts would probably fall off of it! Lol. If I kicked him in the a$$ he might like it... you know how guys are. :shhh:

I will probably start painting pretty early...8am-ish to beat the heat (though the weather-people make it sound like it may be over-cast) ... come when you want... early is good, but you don'r have to get up too early... he he. With this many people it will take only a few hours... then we can throw some grub on the BBQ and then go ride! :D

If it were not for the fact I am taking Wynter out wine tasting on Saturday AM for her early birthday celebration, we would also love to help. Perhaps in the afternoon, if she can still walk straight, and isint too distracting (:hump ) if you know what I mean ;) :rad: hehe

Definitely sounds like a party! It will take like 15 minutes to finish with all the people that are coming. I already have the first coat done.

BTW... I do NOT live in Creswell anymore, just in case anybody hadn't heard. I live in the Barger area, just PM me if you need directions. :D

bad news guys... my bike is probably NOT going to be fixed by then. dad waited until just now to realize that he doesnt have the necessary tool to put my clutch back together... so yeah. 99% chance that there will be no riding this weekend for tess. :censored: :mecry:

so i'll still come to karens and fraternize and paint and eat & drink... i just wont be riding afterwards. probably. unless he pulls a miracle out of his ass... lol

I would have been able to help paint, but I have had a Mongolian Grill BBQ planned for 3 weeks now, that I am hosting for 20 people. I am sure that my guests would not appreciate me not being there to cook for them on my Mongolian Grill after I invited them all. Oh well, you guys have a blast, and hopefully I can attend next time around.

I'm thinking 10am-ish at the earliest at this point...we'll see how the weather is holding up. Even if it we rains we can still BBQ.

I'm sorry to hear about your bike Tess! That sucks. We'll still party though  . I'm not sure if/when we are riding on Saturday anyway.

Tom, no hot-tub :mecry: , yet. I've been looking for a good used one. Found a guy that sells a bunch of them, but I still have to get the site prepped and power to it...etc. I don't think I'll last very far into fall without one though... I think that'll be my next project after paining.

Bummer you can't make it Paul... Mongolian BBQ sounds AWESOME! I'll have more get togethers I' sure, you can catch the next one hopefully. :D

Ron, Lee, and Kris, I'm glad you guys could make it to the BBQ. I feel so fortunate to have you all as my extended family. You all mean the world to me. PS... I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who came over to help Karen paint. I felt bad that I never got a chance to do any painting myself. I somehow ended up doing all the food preparation. And I'm not very good at it so it probably took me longer than it should have. I just hope it didn't suck. Thanks again everyone.
