Nicky Johnson Down

I Just wanted everyone to know that yesterday around 4:00 Nicky crashed on Cottage grove-Lorane Hwy. He was heading east just past the construction zone where they are replacing a bridge and hit some sand in a corner and low sided.


He got a concussion, and some minor scrapes and bruises, but is doing very well. Just wanted to give a heads up for anyone that is riding in that area there is lots of sand and gravel in the road so use extreme caution.

Thank you for the info Brenna. I actually just took a ride on that road yesterday and it is pretty nasty right there.

Wow Nick, really sorry about you and your ride. I am very glad that you are not worce off. I hope you can get things squared away with the bike soon. At least this didn't happen at the start of the year. :frown: Good luck on a speedy recovery.

thanks for all of the support from everyone! I am feeling great, other than than a few sore bones. Maybe just the vicodin talking, but yeah I'm ok.:thumbup: It could have been worse, I was in a right hand corner hit some sand and low sided. I remember a car coming the opposite way and I slid like 5 or 10 feet in front of it into a ditch and started tumbling, then I dont remember anything until some lady asked me if I was ok. Alot of things could have gone wrong and didnt, I missed some large boulders on the bank also. So I went to the hostpital and got a ct scan which showed that I had a concussion, and I have some minor scrapes. Anyone out there that thinks it's too hot to wear your gear should definatly think twice, it saved my hide. Thanks again for the support and to those of you that called to see how I was doing.:thumbup: :rad:

I'm hoping they total it, then I can just buy it back and turn it into a track bike. wont know for a few more days. I am taking it to Clint tomorrow to get an estimate. So if I buy it back then yeah I will need lotsa parts.... and then a few more. thanks again everyone.

So glad you are okay man! Very sorry to hear about you lowside but it sounds like yo are doing fine and everything is coming into place with your bike, best wishes and big props to riding gear!:thumbup:
