I've had fun with my bike but since my car accident over a year ago I've been unable to ride the bike without pain. So it's time to move on. I am selling everything and I have LOTS of stuff. I take really good care of my things so it's all in great condition. It is my hope that one of you guys or gals needs a whole new setup or you have a friend/significant other that is looking to get into the sport. I would prefer to sell the entire package to one person as I've but a lot of energy into assembling a good setup, so the package deal priced accordingly. However, that being said, I am more than happy to sell off individual items.

I put together a website with full description and price list of all the items plus 72 photos of the bike and gear. Please check it out and let me know if you are interested in anything. Also feel free to make an offer on anything. Keep in mind everything is in great shape and available for you to check out.

The bike is a 2005 Kawasaki z750s with 5,250 miles and it has a flawless service history. The bike is a very unusual mix of sport, touring and naked styling. The riding position is both comfortable for longer touring but also set up for the twisties and the in-town thing. The bike has serious get up and go guts. The 750 engine gives you excellent performance along with great gas millage. For all of these reasons, this is one of the best selling bikes in Europe where bikes are a primary means of transportation and thus need to be practical while also providing thrills.

I have four riding suites (separate jacket and pants w/ zip), gloves, boots, helmets and miscellaneous items. There's a high end track worthy AlpineStars Stage jacket and Track pants that have never been used. I also have AlpineStars SMX-Plus boots that have only been used a few times. The fully ventilated Olympia suite is like a gift from the motorcycle gods. The light color reflects heat and the fit/styling is surprisingly appealing. It was by far my preferred riding gear. And the list goes on and on.

When I was riding I will admit that I was a bit obsessive about finding safe and well made gear. There seems to be a lot gear that is neither safe or well made even though the high price tag might lead you to believe so. Not all of my stuff is the best but a lot of it provided the best quality and safety for specific price point.

I hate having to say goodbye to this stuff and the sport but my body keeps sending me a clear message and it's time to move on. Hope there's stuff the local riding community can use.

Thanks. It has been a very hard and drawn out decision. At this point it feels good to have simply made a final decision. Hopefully someone else will enjoy the stuff.

That is an absolutely impressive package you have assembled. I understand your decision and I am saddened by it. You have obviously invested a great deal of time & energy - it couldn't have been an easy decision for you to make.

If you decide you want to sell some things individually, I am interested in the following:
*Jeans
*SMX Boots
*Rain Suit
*Rain Gloves
*Stand

Let me know when/if you want to part any of those out.

Hey Kelbor,

I am 145lbs and 5'-10". But the gear comes in a variety of sizes. The summer stuff is smaller than the winter stuff for proper fit. The Joe Rocket is way to big for me.

Check out the website and download the text files. They have detailed descriptions including color and size.

Hope that helps,
Chad

Xusia,

Thank you for your considerate post. I enjoyed just about every moment on the bike, so no regrets. I hope to fully heal from back + neck injuries and when the time comes might be back on a bike, maybe next decade...

I'll keep you posted as to whether or not someone gets the whole package. Even then I can just reduce the package price for the items that have been sold off. So you've got first rights to those items, lets say by the end of the week if that isn't to late for you? Would you like to see them?

Thanks,
Chad

I'm kinda interested in those 2 books u got Total Control & Sport Riding Tech. I'm a new rider so i think it might be helpful to me if u do part out if u could let me know how much they would be. thanks

Yomamar6,

The two books are fairly similar but do compliment each other nicely. What good about the authors is that they cover just about everything and get into enough of the nuts and bolts so you get a reasonably full understanding such as setting up suspension. How about $15 for both?

I am going to bring all the gear to Thursday Bike Night (Sept 6th). I'll also try to get the bike over there but the logistics are a bit tricky. It has been so long since I've gone to Bike Night, it'll be fun to see everyone in full summer mode.

what would you want for just the bike? my boy wants to join me in the sportbike riding fun, and he's looking for something similar to that bike...

I believe the posting said $5500, but don't quote me on that.

Fade,

Thanks for the interest, and yes, Xusia is correct on the price $5,499, although, feel free to make an offer and I'll keep you posted as to final sales. The website has information on the bike and some of the items that come with the bike. I'm also happy to through in the Kryto Disc Lock, Bike Cover and bike stand unless some else picks up those items first. Of course the best thing to do is see the bike.

This was my first motorcycle and what drew me to this particular model was the complete set of features in addition to the power that would keep me satisfied and give me plenty to grow into. After a year and a half of solid riding I never came anywhere near its limits. Of course, that has something to do with my riding style.

The engine is a bit torquer than most smaller CC engines and so makes it very ridable for a beginner and for a variety of riding conditions. The horn and head light modulators add to the bikes safety. The only thing really missing in the safety department would be anti-lock brakes.

The only problem that owners and journalist have complained about this model, vibration, has not come up with my particular bike. Some owners have put buck shot or sand in the handle bars, but again, it has never been an issue for me. You should check out some of the on-line reviews:

Price of motorcycle plus installed accessories has been dropped to $4,99, as I would like to have everything sold asap. I just posted an add on Cycle Trader, here's the content:

This bike is one of Europe's best selling motorcycles as it offers full sport performance while providing in town practicality and long distance comfort. The motorcycle has 5,200 miles and I am selling it with a number of installed options (heated grips, frame sliders, super horn, headlight modulator and Pilot Road tires). The bike is in excellent condition and has a perfect break-in and maintainence history. The break-in period consisted of proper warm-up leading into long rides with variable speed/throttle and with RPM’s kept in check. Redline has never been approached as it is not needed with the torque rich engine, plus as a new rider I never felt the need to reach this bike's limits (101 HP at 10750 rpm, 1/4 mile in 11.63 sec at 116.29 mph, 0-60 in 3.74 sec, 0-100 in 8.75 sec and average mpg of 40). All records and receipts are available for review (oil & filter at 180 miles, 897 miles, synthetic blend at 2133 miles and full synthetic Silkolene w/ K&N filter at 2993 miles and 4894 miles).

In addition to the motorcycle and for additional cost I am selling all of my gear. I have a ton of high end gear that's in great shape (Alpinestars Stage perforated jacket & Track pants suit, Olympia AirGlide two piece, Joe Rocket Meteor jacket & Ballistic pants, tour master rain suit, and lots of gloves for hot to cold weather). I've built a website with description and photos of everything:
