Hello everyone, and once again welcome to Eugene Sportbike.
This is a brand new site and we have added content that we think should appeal to all members. But we need your input.
After you have taken a few moments to fully check out all of the features of the site, we would like to hear from you about what you believe the site could have added, removed, or just improved.
Remember; This is YOUR group. Lets hear from you! :clapping:

That should have done it. Let me know if anyone has any questions on how to use the "Quick Reply" option.

Gore avatars are distasteful and are rude to those of us who don't want to see it.

Gore avatars are distasteful and are rude to those of us who don't want to see it.The last time I checked we live in the USA.... Where we have the right to say and do what we please, sorry if some people get offended by others. But now if we start tell people what avatars they can nor can not use.... would be called cesorship and that is wrong...

But now if we start tell people what avatars they can nor can not use.... would be called cesorship and that is wrong...Oh? How often do you check? The last time I checked, having an opinion of your own wasn't illegal either. I just happen to be one of those who don't find looking at gross or repulsive photos entertaining.

Shall I start replacing everything that anyone finds remotely offensive with a photo of a cute easter bunny? :smilewink

I dont think there is a way to add an option to allow individules to turn off members avatars. sorry. Perhaps if you sent a private message to the individule that you are having a problem with, along with a reasonable solution, it might help. Communication is a great and powerful thing.

I can live with gore. Heck, I see it every day; however, I would imagine when one comes to the site, gore and repulsive pictures are the last thing I would think people would want to look at.

P.S. I see nothing wrong with a cute easter bunny, just as long as you don't try to get us to believe in him.

Sometimes when I search the web I stumble into threads that have "text only" versions and "full view" versions. I know nothing about how difficult it would be to have a "text only" version, but it would solve the "unpleasant avatar" problem.

Unless the search is for pics, people would only want the information anyway.

Just a suggestion. So far I've been pretty impressed with this site, especially considering how new it is.

Thank you for the compliments Dave, and it was great meeting you at bike night. Yes, some software for forums does include a text only version. I think mainly PHPBB or NUKE. There may be a way to turn that on in vBulletin. I will investigate that this week. Thanks for the suggestion!
