Well, i tried to start my bike this afternoon, it started, backfired then died. now it wont start. i was hoping it was flooded but it doesnt seem to be that. if anybody thinks they could give me any pointers please let me know. I did see everybody out riding, and it looked like there was a pretty big crowd. cant wait to get out with ya:mecry:

See if the spark plugs are firing ACROSS the tip. Any doubt then replace them. Make sure your battery is completely charged. Make sure your inline filter is not plugged going to the carbs. DONT MESS WITH THE CARBS, and if you did then you will need a vacumn sycronizer if you get it to fire. I assume you know that the cylinders are OK without doing a compression test. My girlfriend when I was overseas, used to have a Katana and let me tell you, that thing was a friggin beast to start.
After you have done basic checks.........Then.....CRANK IT!
A lot of the problems start from vacumn leaks at or around the intake to the cylinders which cause it not to idle or start. Once its started you have to keep it revved to run.....Try it out and see what happens.
P.S. And if you give up on it completely, I wouldnt mind checking it out....:thumbup:
