It's been really cold lately. I rode to work on saturday and the weather man said it was 39....brrrr..... today it pissed on me all the way there. I'm going to have a little melt down here now that the riding season is offically over. :frown:

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm thinking about making pre-hibernation preparations. I gotta get some firewood in before it's raining everyday. I'm gonna stay optimistic, though, and hold off on doing winter storage prep. on the bike just yet. We may have some good riding days left; I heard we're supposed to have a warm fall. :idunno:

Snow means skiing is just around the corner. Woo hoo!!

I keep the bike on standby, just in case of the occasional sunny day. In fact, one weekend last year I got to ski one day, ride the next, AND get ICE CREAM! Brian was a very happy boy! :victory-s

Keep it on stand-by.

Ya never know. Remember we rode on New Years day and it wasn't all that bad. Those good days sneak up on us.

Battery tender and Sta-bil with a full tank.

We should really do a 2nd annual Polar Bear Ride for '08.

Heck, my tiny little battery doesn't even last two days:yell: . It gets hooked up to the "juice" the minute its back in the garage. I ride enough in the winter to keep the fuel fresh though.

Yeah, maybe I'm just being a big baby about it; remember, I got spoiled from the time I spent in CA, riding almost every weekend 11 months out of the year. The battery tender and StaBil are both excellent ideas, too.

Every bike is a bit different, but generally I've found that riding/starting once a month is sufficient wihtout any battery tending. Also, I've never used StaBil (or a similar product) and I've never had a problem. Still, my personal experience aside, I believe both are good ideas.
