Right now I've got my suspension setup so it 'feels' right and I figure it's pretty close to what it should be, but I'd like to get the sag set up properly. It seems like the easiest way to do this is to have a couple of other riders help out. Would anybody be interested in getting together to setup the suspension on our bikes. I've got instructions from my Lee Parks book and it's not very complicated. It's just easier if one person can hold the bike upright while a third person measures. My schedule is sort of crazy, but I'll probably have time next weekend and week nights might be doable. With three or more, it wouldn't be hard at all. Anybody interested?

Mats, I'd love to help you set it up, but I'm leaving Monday for two weeks in CA for work (and hopefully a little play, too). I've no doubt someone will come through, though.

I've got a garage and a tape measure. I paid Clint to do mine, but I'm down to learn how. Just need one more. I'll call Ben and see if he wants to monkey with his bike. When did you want to do this?

Its easy if you got a side stand. Just pull the bike up on the side stand and front tire and measure distance. Then sit on the bike and on one leg tiptoe balance while the other one measures the drop.

Dead On exact is not the key here.

EDIT. Bounce on it after it is back on its wheels before you take a measurement.

BI'm not in a hurry to get it done. I'll be gone the begining of November, so probably either next weekend or sometime next month. How much did it cost to have Clint do your bike?

BTW, I saw you and two other bikes ride by 24th and Hilyard around 5:15 or so.

I think he charges 1/2 hour labor- $30. Money well spent. It completely changed the bike. We could do it this weekend. Ben said he's in.

Yeah ,Me, Superhawk, and Winburnt. We had just gotten back from about 3 or 4 hours of nice twisty stuff with TL Jester and a friend of his. :rad:

This weekend should work. Saturday afternoon or any time Sunday should be OK, but I'll need to check the 'schedule'.

sunday works better for me.Sunday is better for me too. Anytime should work as long as we're finished by 4:30ish. Late moringing would be the best, that way we can take a short test ride when we're done.

It looks like it's going to be very nice on Sunday. Maybe we should ride instead and save the mods for poorer weather. What do you guys think?

If you guys want, you can come by my hanger at the Creswell airport and set your bikes up there. Lots of tools and stands etc. As far as I'm concerned, it's the only way to really enjoy your bike.

After t-bird day works for me. Get some take and bake pizzas, we have an oven at the hanger and a refrig for whatever. Sag is relatively easy to do. Real riding needed for all the other sruff, however you can fuind some ballpark settings for most bikes online. don't go crazy. Clint at Cycle Parts can give you some ideas about what weight of oil to use in your forks. Rear shocksSend them out to GP suspensoin in Oregon City.

No. I still hve the 03 R6, It is my 600 supersport and superbike racer. I sold the 06 R6 to Whitney and bought an 08 R6 that was to be here in Nov. but pushed back to Dec. I might just give Cottage Grove Yamaha a call this afternoon and see if anything has changed on the shipping dates.
