Hey everyone as some of you have seen I went down on my bike a while ago.
I'm wondering a couple things?
What is the best way to fix the scuffed up area on my fairings. Its not to bad but bad enough to maybe bondo or something? What are the best ways to fix that and what are some good products?
Also what are some types of paints (makers) that you guys and girls like?
I hope that you can help me if not oh well.

Depending on the depth of the scratches/scuffs you can use a glazing putty or a fiber reinforced fiberglass filler. If what your trying to repair is less then 1/2 the thickness of the panel use the glazing putty as it's available at most NAPA stores. If you need the fiber stuff I believe I got mine from Fiberlay in seatle by ordering online.

Thanks Mike:yes:
Winter is my dead time for work, so if you want, I'd be happy to take a look at it, And point you in the right direction. Heck, for some good beer, I'd probably show you how, and help you with it:thumbup: I've got a couple of different fillers and some supplies I bought when I was going to repaint the fizzer last year............
PM me, and we can set up a time to meet up if you are interested.

There is several ways to fix the rash on youre bike it all depends on how bad it is . When Brians (Xsuia) ZX10 was layed down this summer, there was some glass work, some filler and primer work done to the pieces that were left of the bike. here is some pics when he wrecked it and after it was painted.

Hey wow that looks really good. My bike isn't close to being that bad. Its only has a little on the left fairing, and little rash on the front. I'm trying to get some good pic's of it up. I don't have much money so didn't want to send it to a shop. And being winter i thought I could prep and maybe shoot it?

I did that bike for free. Brian is a cool guy and very helpfull. He got all the parts, only a couple needed fixed the rest couldn't be fixed. If you need some work i can do it cheeper than most and i use top of the line paint. Never use lower line paint seen alot of failers. I can send you some pics of other stuff i have done let me know email abrahamson71@yahoo.com

2k2 banshee; I saw Brian's bike and thought it looked awesome; especially that color! What paint did you use? I'm thinking of doing my Triumph this winter 'cause the stock paint is about as hard as a ham sandwich! You just look at it and it's scratched, and I doubt Triumph will give me a new tank and bodywork. I've been out of the loop as far as painting goes for about 10 years, so I don't know what's good and what's not anymore. They supposedly put Glasurit on my Ram when it was repainted but it seemed to be very soft as well. Thanks!

Thanks guys!
Well fresh paint is soft to a point. Then it gets hard over time like two weeks. the paint on that tank is not right you should not be able to print it with youre finger nain at all like that. Now if it was painted two days before maybe but that is an 06 no way is that right.
