PIR decible level

I'm concerned about my db limit at PIR. I going to try to hit either the april or june PSSR track day, and from what I hear, it can be a little strict. I will probably go down to the trumpet shop and see if they can do a test for me, and if all else fails I'll just repack the exhaust, but just how strict is PIR?

i raced there one evening and they checked me out and i was on a stock nighthawk.. its really low and is even lower the later it gets... i cant remember the exact number but...

thier website says 100db's, for trackdays anyways. PSSR says they inforce it, but a Doctor at the hospital that wants to set up a trackday said they are pretty loose. I'm thinking if mine are over 100db's, which I'm sure they are hella close, I'll just re pack the mufflers. don't want to though, it's going to be a PITA:soapbox:

the only thing i've ever been been told is no race motors or after market exhaust befor 9am and i'm there all season long ride 2 out of the 4 track day providers
so for what its worth i wouldnt worry about it

I hear that Eric... At least with CTT... Have you EVER been checked???? I have never even seen them check for loudness.... My GSX-R1000 with a yosh race can, and 20K on it with no re-pack, and no problem.... Just FYI!!!

+1 to the don't worry about it. No matter how loud you think you might be, there is going to be a guy (or girl:smilewink) with something louder. PIR does have noice level restrictions, but they don't go into effect (become enforced) until like 6 or 7, well after the trackday has ended. That is why Jennifer got checked out at an evening race. So again don't worry about it. :thumbup:

I don't think that you will have any problems at a track day. I take my race bikes to both PSSR and CTT with no problems. See you there!
