Just a thought for a get together??? [Archive]

So here is a thought. My guy andI live in an industrial area with no noise curfew. We are good friends with the guy who owns the mechanic shop below us and he said just so long as its after hours (around 6ish) we could do whatever we want here. There is an ok stretch for those stunt riders and there is a CRAP ton of parking. So Jon (my guy) and I was thinking once the bikenights hit up again, we would LOVE to do a BBQ style bike night here. We have all outside to mill around and those who want are welcome up to the apartment to chill/game or whatever.

We will have the XBOX 360 set up with whatever you would like to play. We have the rockband going for anyone wanting to get a little brave, halo's for the traditional gamers.

Other than all that it would just be nice to get together, bikes and friends alike just to get to know everyone. Im new to the area and wouldnt mind making some friends. Let me know what you all think. I know you all used to gather at the pizza shop but I figured this would give us a little more room to spread out and "play" around with the bikes a bit.

Well if your in the area, mapquest 196 Wallis st. Eugene, OR come by and check it out. Our apartment is right above Hysmith's Auto shop. Wow! Sounds like a good plan and maybe it's a good excuse to break out the video camera...

This was first video I made at Eugene Bike Night. Sorry about the darkness and being out of focus, but it was fun making the video. A lot of the people in this video have improved a lot since this video was made.

UGH!!!! I cant wait till bike nights are back up and going....... grrr... DAMN YOU SUN!!! come out and play!!

Hey if anyone wants to set up a time to come check the area out let me know!! I would like to get some solid plansgoing for some bike nights. Bad thingis... I dont own a BBQ yet.... lol So unless I get one before good weather hits, I might be asking for assistance on that one.

Would love to get a test run going if not a full fledge bike night one of these nice nights, so if anyone is interested in helping me plan something out seeing as to how I have never planned a bike night and me being new to ESB, I would like to get a few regulars in on this who personaly know some members.

Let me know guys and keep praying for that sun to come out!!!!

I would say feal free to post when and where u are thinking of meeting and im sure youll get some hits.

There are going to be people that heard about bike nights, and they are only going to know "bike nights was held at papa's pizza on W11th and Chambers @ 7 pm on every thursday." So let's not risk losing out on picking up a couple extra riders by moving bike nights too early into the season. Also bike nights is supposed to be very visible, at least the pizza part. Many a rider has stopped by after driving by the week before, having seen all the bikes the previous week.

I am all about after-hours get-togethers off the beaten path, but let's keep our group visible, for those who have not been fortunate enough to have found us already. :victory-s

Keeping Bike Nights at Papa's is the sensible thing, I agree.

I think that Angel has offered us a safe and sane place for afterward or other times. An offer we should be glad to recieve.

We should make a point to run by there some day and get to know her and her guy and look over the situation before anything else.

So Angel, Are you around on the weekends like "normal" folk?

Yeah whenever is fine really. My schedule is going to be a little crazy here soon. I am going to be starting another job for grave shift. So I do a 2pm-10:45 swing over to my other job and work 11pm to 7:30. This schedule is only going to go on untill I can no longer take it though lol Then I will end up giving one up which will be the swing. However let me know. Insomniacs have no bedtime :-)

So im just now catchen up to this post and ya...Im in but I work swing during the week, any objection if I get the ok from you ( very nice for the invite ) folks to mayby have a few weekend nights for some practice? My friend owns a gym on the wallis- so I know right where its at- Please let me know cause that would rock~!!! I suck at video games so ill stick to ridin a few wheelies and doen a few endos =)
