Where is the best place in Eugene to get a new tire? Most folks like Cycle Parts. If you bring in the wheel, I think they'll only charge $15 labor. Depending on the type of flat, they can probably plug it pretty cheap, but that opens up another debate.

I believe Cycle Gear will charge $20 labor if you bring in the wheel.

I'm a college student so i dont have the tools to do take off my wheel. and i'm opposed to getting it repaired, i dont want to worry about it busting while im going around a turn.
Have anyone been to Ramsey on Franklin?

sorry bro, if my bike wasn't currently up on my stands I'd be more then happy to have you over and we could do it in my garage. I only live 2 min from the trumpet shop. oh well.... I do not have any experience with R.W. never heard anything bad about them.... :2cents:

R&W is a dealer so expect to have to drop off the tire and come back the next day. I just had Cycle Parts put on my new tires for the track bike. I haven't run them yet, so can't comment on workmanship. :smilewink

They were able to get them mounted while I waited. Only took about 10 mins or so. $15 per mount (with wheel off bike) and $2 per tire disposal fee. All in all pretty resonable.

(Is it Saturday yet?! :ride: :rad:)

I have had Cycle Gear mount 2 sets of tires for me and it worked out perfect. If you buy the tire there, it costs only $20 per tire + disposal fee. I have had great luck with having Cycle Parts do tire changes for me.Usually the same price in my experience. There is also a newer shop on 24th and Main in Springfield who will match the $20 per wheel if off the bike. He did my last set and I was thrilled with the job.:2cents: :2cents: There's my 4 cents.

Cycle Parts  If you buy the tire there I think thay mount it for free and if you talk to Rod he will most likely cut a deal on tire prices...

Yes, I know I am bringing up an old thread, but...The $20 mounting...I am assuming if the tire is already off...how much do they charge if the wheel is still on? I need a new front tire, and don't have the means to remove it myself.

I go to cycle parts to support a local business. The owner Rod knows soo much about motorcycles and the wrench Clint has never let me down on prices or service. They are also close enough to what it cost to have tires shipped to me. I don't know what it cost for them to take off the tires but I would guess about 7 bucks per tire for removal?

...I don't know what it cost for them to take off the tires but I would guess about 7 bucks per tire for removal? If you are referring to mounting and balancing, it's closer to $40 for mount and balance (wheels off the bike); if memory serves me  . (That is, if you bought the tires elsewhere. I believe they will mount them for free, if you buy the tires from them. + Labor, if they have to take off the wheels.)
