cabin fever

It figures.
The first really good riding weather since I got my bike(not too hot), and it's in pieces:censored: The forks are at the shop having the seals replaced, and the rearend is apart to change sprockets/chain. While it's apart, I'm going to do the oil/coolant change, check the plugs,replace the exhaust gaskets, and clean/re-oil the air filter. Had a new front tire put on friday, so it should feel like a different bike when it's all back together this week.
Sure was frustrating seeing all the bikes out yesterday when I took the forks to the mechanic:yell: Oh well, it'll be worth it:yes:

Dont feel bad man, I was at bike night this week in a cage because my bike's clutch cable is toast. So I decided that rather then getting a new clutch cable, Id just go ahead and get a new bike next week or so. lol. Nawww...jk. I will be replacing the cable next week AND getting a new bike! :rad:

New bike huh? That almost makes up for having to drive a cage to bike night.:lol: Any idea what are you getting yet?:drool:

Got my forks back today. Took less than 24 hours, and they only cost me $100 including parts:yes: Gonna try to get this thing done by tomorrow, if I can go 5 minutes without having to go get more parts/tools. Gonna have to go get at least one more socket to get the front sprocket off. Almost there!

only 24 hour turn around time????!!! :eek: Thats fantastic! Hope the rebuild all goes well man. make sure you doubble check all your nuts and bolts to make sure you didnt miss tightening anything. Ive done that before and lost stuff..lol. Im probably going to get the Raven R1 this weekend if all goes well. Might even have it by bike night. :yes: Im starting to get really excited, like when youre a kid and you have a few days left untill christmas, and those days just DRAG BY SO FRIGGIN SLOW!!!!!!...lol.
Anyway, Hope to see you at bike night this week man! :thumbup:

I'm so paranoid, I'm triple checking everything, as well as torque wrench to specs and lots 'o Loc-tite! Never had a bike torn down this far before, so I'm more than a little nervous. Just a couple more little things, and I should be back on the road by tonight. Just keep running into goofy stuff the last owner half-assed. May as well fix it all while it's apart already. The new chain moved the rear wheel forward over an inch:eek: . Better get back out there, and get to work.

sounds like youve got it well under control. :thumbup: I am a pilot and know what it is to be paranoid when checking to make sure things are the way they are supposed to be. lol. Don't want anything falling off at 70 mph any more than you want anything falling off at 8,000 feet! Let us know how the first ride went!
