How many of you use the clip on master link versus the rivet type? EVERYTING I have read says NOT to use a clip type. But everyone I've asked says clip on is fine.:help2:
Thanks,

I use the clip on type currently on the cat, but thats only because I dont have the tool needed to do the other kind. I DID loose a chain once because of the clip on kind, but Im convinced that it was my fault. I think I didnt have the clip set completely in the retaining grove on the link. I would rather use the riveted type if given the option though.

I have the rivet type that came with the new chain. I think I'll have one of the shops attatch it for me. Better safe than sore!

:rad: LOL I had no idea. The browser FUBAR'd on me!
I meant to say that the rivet type seems like it would be stronger, and with modern liter bikes making 150+ RWHP I can see where people may want to avoid the clip type.
