A was thinking out 36 to just east of Deadwood, then turn north to 34. Take 34 to Waldport, up to Newport, then back out 20, but I'm open to suggestions. Could also come back on 34 through Alsea. Is anyone familiar with this road between 36 & 34? It doesn't have a name on my map. I should be ready to leave the house by just after 1:00.

Unless someone knows otherwise, I'm a little concerned about road condition on Wolf Creek, etc. I was over Hamm Road into Creswell Friday and there was still a lot of sand on the upper section. Anyone been up Wolf Creek lately??

Sorry I didn’t go with everyone. My back wasn’t going to tolerate a long ride. Just went to Territorial and back. I was coming out of a corner and had a feeling I needed to slow down. Glad I listened to my instincts. Let up coming out of a corner as sheriff passes me. Thought for sure they would turn around. Never did. Took it easy on the way back. Anyhow hope your ride went well. Looks like the weather was perfect.

According to one of the Deadwood locals, that road turns to gravel about 9 mi. up from 36, though the map shows it as paved all the way  . In any case we saw rain clouds coming so we turned around at Deadwood and came back to Cheshire. Justin had to get back to town but Stacy and I went on up Alsea, on into Corvallis, and back down Peoria rd. Got a little chilly coming back, but otherwise a great ride. Alea as is good shape, but 34 could use some new pavement. Justin, Stacy, thanks for the company!!:rad:
