We realize that what we do is inherently dangerous. We are the smallest vehicles on the road and the most vulnerable. It's a risk we all assume each and every time we donn a helmet. Those that choose to ride only in cages don't have the same bonds we as cyclists do. We are a close and compassionate group. That is one reason I enjoy riding so much. I mourn the loss of each fallen rider I hear about. What I want to say is reading the posts you people add with regards to this issue only makes that bond stronger. I'm not alone in my feelings and attitude about this as you can all agree, i'm sure. I think we all feel this way to an extent. Be safe. Be aware of your surroundings at all times. Love the ride.

I plan to ride well past 65. Retirement will suck if I don't have a couple motorbikes to entertain myself with. They'll probably be powered by mini fusion reactors and have a range of 10k miles, before fillup....

watch it... dad is about to turn 61 and he's still out on his 'busa and taking nation-wide trips on the goldwing each year, with no signs of slowing down. some of the guys he does those rides with are even older than he is. its all in your attitude and how deep the addiction runs! if i live that long, i'm sure i'll still be out on my bike too :)

He even makes it look sort of nimble. I was impressed when we did the loop via Sutherlin and the coast last August.
