Almost there... after removing most of the plastics, major troubleshooting, replacing and rewiring a new stator, replacing and rewiring a new regulator/recitifier, I come to the sudden realization part of the problem was the battery had gone bad and won't hold a charge for very long. Probably the reason why the charging system burned out in the first place. Going to see if I can pick up a new battery this week and hopefully I'll be riding the 929 this weekend...
