Wanna trade?

I have a pocket bike that needs some help and I don't want to spend a lot. I'm willing to do computer work in trade. PM me if interested.

Thanks!

Yeah, whats wrong with it? I might get bored one of these weekends and scoot down to fix it.

I'm afraid I don't know enough to say what's wrong with it. It was being ridden (@WOT) and it died. It still runs, but any attempt to apply more than a modest amount of throttle results in the engine dying.

Fouled plug maybe? Search around and see if you can find a carb rebuild kit for it.

I may be in the area soon and if you can get a carb kit I can rebuild it in a few min.

or maybe the carb needs adjusting for more air/fuel?

I love you guys! You give me a lot of credit. I'm a computer geek - I tune PC's, not carbs. <hehe>

Still, I'll LOOK at that and see what I can see. At least I know where it is and what it does... ;)

My first bike was an old Honda 90SL. timing would go out on it if it was stressed to much and I would have to open the engine side case and mess with the gap (?). I was not sure what I was doing but it would fix the problem. Those little engines are pretty basic if you just start messin around.:2cents:

OK. I found what I believe is the mixture adjustment screw, but now I can't get it started so I can't exactly check it. I'll try again when I have more time...

Is this one of the Chinese models with a pull start?

I'm fairly certain. I didn't buy it - I "inherited" it, so I'm not exactly full of knowledge about it.

I'm willing to bet that something got by the fuel filter and pluged the carb. Adjusting the mixture will only hurt matters as it will have to be re adjusted later by "reading" the plug. Get a rebuild kit and a new fuel filter. Any decent home mechanic can completely go through the carb in an hour, less if it's off the bike already.
