ok. so i got pulled over for doing 70 in a 55 (flow of trafic) got a ticket for $145. and i've herd the myth about over paying on the ticket, that if you do the mail-in option and over pay on the ticket that you get a check back in the mail for whatever amount of $ you sent in, then if you dont cash the check and just tear it up and throw it away, it doesnt go on your record. well i sent in a check for $155 and its been about 3 weeks, nothing in the mail. does anyone if this myth is true or not????

No idea, but I seriously doubt that works. My money says they cash the check, and MAYBE issue you a $10 refund check.

over on beltline just past the river rd exitThat sucks. I ride from bethel to coburg every morning. Noticed west bound has had someone pulled over Monday and Tuesday mornings. Friday they hung out on the Barger over pass afternoon.

oregon does not have points on lic we have ins points witch is diffrent. like in nj where i use to live if u got 12 point u lose ur lic.and each moving violations have diffrent points. like up to 10 mphs u get 2 points 10-20mph u get 3 points and any faster is 4 points but they can combine points like addind careless in for 3 more points. but u lose point 3 point if u dont get any tickets in 3 years. or if u go to driving school could knock off 3 points right away by only allowed to goto driving school once a year.

Well, even though you hate me... I'll share what I have found out.... As far as you record goes, it's your insurance that it effects. If you don't buy a new car/bike or change your policy... most of the time your insurance company will never know...

No hate here..

I have had share of traffic infraction in my youth. Always dealing with city and ticketed appropriately. A close friend works for EPD and have gone on several ride along. To my surprise they do let many off with warnings. My last visit was with the sheriff on my bike going 26 over last year. Pulled over imedialty gave the info requested and let go after being asked to keep it down. My lucky day since I had just slowed down. A ticket is never fun. Maybe next time they will cut you some slack.
