Crashed!!!

Well it happend.. I was riding north on Prairie road, behind a white van.. there was a truck in front of the van. The truck and van were both turning right onto Beacon. I seen a car waiting to turn onto beacon, but I wasnt sure if he seen me behind the van. I had a thought go through my head "what if he pulls out"..but I left the thought there, So the truck turned and I was coming up on the van..The van turned, well was about half way into the turn when I started to throttle around him staying to the inside of of thr road, on the center line, as soon as I past the bumper of the van, The car had pulled out turning left, I hit my brakes, just enough to put me into a slide for about 5 feet, I smashed into the front d/s quarter panel. then was thrown over the car and onto the street. It smashed my left leg from above the knee to the ankle. I'm laid up now with a messed up leg and a crashed bike. Pretty medicated right now, so will post pics later. His insurance is paying for all damages. But this really sucks... But I can say that my helmet and boots and jacket did there job...

The bike is fixable, took most the damage to the left side..

Wow Pete, sorry to hear about that. Hope you are being taken care of. If not, there are some ppl on here who could recommend a good attorney.

Holy crap!!!! I am glad you weren't hurt any worse than you are. It pisses me off to no end to hear of some stupid sheet that could be avoided like that.

Heal up quick, man. There is a whole season ahead still. Get back on a bike as soon as you can.

I guess what I can say is that when you get that little voice telling you something in the back of your mind, Listen to it..I wish I were more in tune with my intuition...It was there but I didn't listen.

thanks everyone, the hardest part of all of this is the laying in bed all day long looking out the window knowing how nice it is outside.....Going in for MRI monday to see what the real damage is, I will keep you posted, Thanks again to everyone for the love...
