Statistics say that Motorcycle accidents are more likely to occur at night, with an increased number of fatal crashes occurring after dark as well (motorcycle accident statistics show that 60% of all fatalities happened at night) :crash:
I found a site that has some cool, high-quality reflective decals for helmets and bike frames. Great safety item, as well as adding a personal touch to your ride or gear. Streetglo helmet decals (http://www.streetglo.net/streetglo_files/helmet.flame.decal.htm)
Samples: http://img238.imageshack.us/img238/4779/obj230geo230pg3p20si2.png (http://imageshack.us) http://img349.imageshack.us/img349/184/flashingdecaldl0.gif (http://imageshack.us) http://img474.imageshack.us/img474/5898/skulldecalno0.png (http://imageshack.us)
They also have black frame tape, that's "barely noticeable" in daylight, but is highly reflective at night, to oncoming traffic. Black reflective frame tape strips (http://www.streetglo.net/reflective.motorcycle.frame.kit.html)
A reviewer says of their decals:
The stickers are made from a heavy-duty industrial reflective material that has a metallic backing. This is the type of reflective sticker material that is used for industrial and road signage. They're heftier than some of the cheaper vinyl stickers found at motorcycle rallies. The adhesive that Streetglo uses is very sticky, and once the sticker is applied to the helmet, it's very hard or nearly impossible to reposition, so make sure the work is laid out precisely on the surface before peeling off the backing.

This has been a public safety notice from your ol' buddy Bob.
Just lookin' out you.
