I went over this road Saturday morning and the new pavement is really bitchen, but I don't think that it is any coincidence that every freakin' turn had gravel on it. Somebody just has to be spreading that shit on the road. :nutkick The cagers have been on the shoulders or whoever and it made real shit out of nice pavement. I talked to some other cruzers on top of the hiway before dropping into the Grove and they were as pissed as I was. It's just dangerous so be on the lookout. The road to Dorena and beyond is great. Peace, Jack:yell:

I grew up inj CG and cut my sportbike teeth on that road. It will always have a place in my heart but like you guys said, the gravel can be deadly. part of the problem is the logging trucks and other big rigs that pass through there and often turn up gravel in the corners..... not necassarily the locals doing it on purpose.

Ha Ha...I got to kill that road the day they finished the new surface - F-ing Epic!! I hit it once, turned around hit it agian, and then again and then once more for good measure. that was about a month ago and the surficing equipment was still parked on the shoulder - and no gravel yet. Sorry guys:yes::nutkick

the log trucks maybe kicking up the marbles but damn, there is nothing like coming up on that turn and seeing gravel right where your going to put your scotter, it gets the juices flowing in a hell of a hurry. wouldn't it be nice to close off that stretch of road for a little high speed hoopla:rad: does anyone out there know of someone who got alittle hot and slid off of Lorane hiway some weeks ago? my therepist(?) rides a bicycle and told me of someone on a scotter that crashed on the turn just south of Chambers? just bruished egos I guess....:yell:

Sorry guys:yes::nutkicklucky you... my last trip down that road before i moved was the day they were resurfacing it... so i got caught up in all the traffic with the truck that you had to follow at like, 15 mph. it suuuuucked! about 95 degrees out, tons of gravel, had to go slow or be stopped the ENTIRE road... needless to say, me and the duc were both very unhappy campers.

Just an update... went there yesterday... and there was gravel in turns... not super bad, you can still find the line and go through it, but if you out of the line you are gone.... and gravel was only turns and good turns! Sucks! It's a great road tho (without gravel LoL)!
