I've decided to tint the windows in the ride but not sure what # to go with. I want it damn dark but not to the point that I can't see what's going on at night. I'm thinking 20 is good. 5 Being limo tint, that's just too much and not to mention, the cops will play hell with me every time I scream past one. 35 is the law I know, but I choose to break any and all whenever possible. Thanks, but only if you have GOOD information.

Are you planning on doing the tinting yourself? or having it professionally done?

Here is a link for you mang. http://www.tintcenter.com/laws/OR/

Maybe go just the next step beyond 'law'... unless you are REALLY feisty...

The cops don't really bother you all that much for windows here. All the windows in my Denali are at about 2%...which is just about BLACK. I've never been pulled over for it in the last year I've had it on there. I wouldn't go that dark though on a vehicle driven all the time though, due to the fact you can't see out at night, and rain makes it even worse.

What kind of car's it going on. That'll determine how dark you should go.

By the way, Darkside's definatly the place to go (I'm not suggesting they did mine thoughhttp://eugenesportbike.com/forum/images/smilies/newsmilies/smilewink.gif)

2%?! Christ, and I thought 15 was dark! No, that's too dark for me. I've got to be able to see at day as well as night. I got quotes from Darkside and I'll probably pay well over $200 for the tinting but it'll be worth it in the end. The vehicle is darker so I don't think I'll have too much of a problem with the law...not that has ever concerned me.

Darkside did 15% on mine and it turned out really good. They matched the factory tint on the rear doors ect. perfectly. I have had 5%, 15% 25% on different vehicles over the year and I personally like the 15%. Dark, but still able to see good at night. Remember, the cheaper tint that they use will also affect how well you can see at night too. It also makes a difference what color your interior is too, i.e. lighter interiors will reflect more light than a darker one. Depending on that factor you can have a lighter shade and still get a pretty dark overall look.
That's my :2cents:
