I've been to their store in Portland, and I was not impressed. Didn't see anything I liked. Nothing special-full retail prices on most items.
Their main line of clothing is Frank Thomas.
Here's a link to a gear shop in Albany. I haven't been there yet, but they list some pretty high-end brands. They claim to carry the full line of Marsee bags. The owner has been building custom seats for many years. I've been told they are much better than Corbin's, and are built for your body's specs.

yeah the shop is nice clean and good size like WOW . they say that in time they can mount tires maybe to. trying to get part time job there.
later all snotaz
Went into the shop today, and must say, pretty disapointed. Buuutt that's probably cuz ima lady, and they have next to no gear for girls. I guess I got my hopes up that I'd actually be able to try on some gear before ordering it. Oh well. But as far as guys gear, you're pretty set, they have some nice stuff. Great helmet selection too!

Went in last night and bought a set of Dunlop 756's for $85. they retail for $150 a set. I think they will have more stuff as they settle. I used to work for them in P-town and the company kicks ass! No restocking fee's, no questions asked on returns.

When I bought my gear, I looked at all the ladies leathers, and was way disappointed. They all look pretty girlie. When I ride, I don't want to look too feminine, as I am sure I will get some unwanted attention. So, I got some Alpinestars leathers for men, (they actually fit really well, do get diaper butt tho) and an Icon Timax II textile jacket. Mike has the leather version, and I found it REALLY heavy on my back, so I got the textile version, and it fits really well, is comfy, and has all the armour as the leather counterpart. And, its BLUE!!!! That may be the only girlie thing about my gear, with the hair thats getting long enough to come out from under my helmet...:idunno:

Heh, I wear all girls gear, yet somehow still get mistaken for a guy. So, I woudln't worry too much.

What is girlie about an all pink riding suite?:idunno:
No seriously, if I raced I would wear a pink riding suite so that everytime I would pass another racer they would quite the race out of embarassment by being passed by the guy in the pink suite:lol:

I've had people tell me I look like a guy while riding, I've had people say there is no way to mistake me as anything other than a girl. Heck, I've mistaken some slight guys as girls when they were riding until I got close to them...but I figure ...if I am going fast enough, they can't tell what gender I am anyways...lol. I would still like a pair of flamingo pink cheek chillers though...how cool would that be?!

Why the HELL would you deal with cycle sport (Eugene) anyway??? They treated me like Sh** the one time I took my KAW 1100 in for repairs. I let everyone know how it was too.
Support the local guys if you can. Try "Discount" across the street from DMV. They have a great selection of ALL kinds of gear (accessories) and they're friendly. Got my textles and leather there.

I work at cycle sports... and honestly- It just depends on who you deal with. I do my best to take care of my customers, make sure **** is on track and that they get good service when working with me. Yes, there are mistakes that are made... happens everywhere... but to hold an intire company responsible is a bit lame. I work in parts, which has nothin to do with sevice and most of the horror stories come from there. there are occational misshipments, back orders and things of that nature sometimes not in our control at all... hell, we dont make the stuff ya know. I do think the new cycle gear is a great new place to check out gear... but as a consumer, Ill go where ever I need to get what I want- regaurdless someone elses experience with them.
Just my two cents-

P.S.
The guy you delt with has been fired.
I think Cycle Sports is good for everything but service (and I'll be nice and won't mention any names). They've already managed to screw up with a ton of stuff on my new bike that I got there only a couple months ago. I wouldn't go there, but I got there Gold Membership thing so it saves a lot of money, as long as they don't screw up with too many more big things (I guess putting the oil drain plug in seems to be difficult for some people).
I agree with Ron though, don't blame the whole company just cause there service dept. REALLY sucks!!
And in parts you just have to know who to talk to and who not to talk to (like Sara)

I personally have yet to check out cycle gear. Havent had time really. But I also have not had any problems with Cycle Sports of Eugene now that I know who to deal with. This is not a pump or anything, but IMHO, if you want quality and knowledgable service, ask for Ron, (R666)...But its that way anywhere you go. You want help with something sportbike related, ask someone who actually rides and has an interest in sportbikes. I mean you wouldnt ask a vegiterian what the best cut of meat is in a butcher shop, right? (No offense, but Ive never seen Sarah at bike night, or on a sportbike)
(No offense, but Ive never seen Sarah at bike night, or on a sportbike) I mostly ride dirtbikes. I'm usually in there a few times a week for dirtbike parts. Sportbikes are just a little thing on the side for me...and I'm never in there for parts for them.
