Got pulled over twice this weekend, first time heading to the coast Friday night on hwy 20. Pinned doing 67 in a 55. He pulled me over asking how fast i thought i was going i said i dont know. He then said 67 and me being a smartass said "thats all?" he laughed. Then said he understands because he rides a CBR and just wanted to make sure im endorsed and told me to have a good night.
Then today riding back from the coast taking 99w outside of corvallis i guess i blew past a trooper doing well over 80 im told but a sheriff pinned me doing 77. Figured i cant get lucky twice and 22mph over the speed limit is gonna ding me for sure. So he asked how long it been since i had a ticket and told him over 3 years. Went back ran my stuff and asked if i was a trucker because i have a CDL i said yes, he told me he has a soft spot for truckers because his dad is one and to have a good night and keep it down on game day because police are everywhere. So i will not be riding anymore this weekend the sun has shined on this dogs ass to long. Hit it again next weekend

First time ever being pulled over on a bike much less twice. Guess it just goes to show that a couple light jokes and politeness can go a long way. Saved me hundreds im sure.

I don't want to say how long I've been driving/riding/getting pulled over, but I can say from experience that attitude is everything in an encounter with law enforcement. Being honest, polite and contrite with the officer won't always get you off completely, but it sure doesn't hurt.:standcorn
