OSP SEEKING TWO UNIDENTIFIED GOOD SAMARITANS RELATED TO MOTORCYCLE CRASH IN EUGENE AREA (PHOTOS)

Oregon State Police (OSP) is seeking two unidentified men who stopped Thursday morning at the scene of a minor motorcycle crash on the westbound Beltline Road off ramp to Prairie Road and performed CPR on the operator. Investigators need to talk to these men who worked to save the operator until medical personnel arrived.
According to OSP Trooper Casey Codding on October 9, 2008 at approximately 5:45 a.m. a 1999 Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by RICKY DEAN WILSON, age 53, from Springfield, was westbound on Beltline Road and exited at the Prairie Road off ramp. As WILSON was slowing down he may have had a medical problem and his motorcycle tipped onto its side.
Two unidentified men along with other passing motorists stopped at the scene. The two men began CPR, including mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, and continued until medical personnel from Lane Rural Fire District arrived and took over lifesaving efforts.
Trooper Codding indicated one man may have been the driver of a log truck that stopped, and the other man who was only described as wearing a black sweatshirt was believed to have been in another unidentified vehicle. Both men left without investigators being able to identify them and obtain statements.
WILSON was transported by ambulance to Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend for continued treatment.
OSP asks that these two unidentified Good Samaritans contact Lieutenant Mike Bloom at (541) 726-2536 ext. 218.
