05/06 Kawi 636 air box cover help

Ok, I feel like an idiot because I can't figure out how to get this damn thing off. The 05 and 06 models have a split tank design where basically the front half of the tank is actually a quick access cover for the air box. I've removed the main bolt located up by the handlebars along with the two side bolts down by the frame. ??? You would think it would just pop off at this point, but I swear it's being held in place by something else. I could try pulling harder but I'm affraid of breaking the damn thing off. Do any of you other 636 owners have any advisse for me?

I don't think you can remove plastic cover without taking of the gas tank because it is attached to it with inside bolts... And to remove the gas tank there is another bolt under the sit... So if I remember correct 4 total... front, back and sides and then you can lift up the tank...

Ya not the easiest, even a pain to get to the battery, which I had to do, to charge it up. Maybe I should just ride more, then i wouldn't have to worry about the battery dying. I had an 89 Ninja, so easy to work, on key would pop the seat off, and under the seat a little tool pouch had everything to dismantle the whole bike.

Just a shot in the dark, but my yamaha had a plastic cover over the tank,and you had to remove the entire filler cap assembly (and a few bolts) to get the cover off. Any chance your kawi is similar?
