Is anyone planning any rides this weekend? I haven't been on the bike since the accident on Saturday. I need to "get back on the horse" again. :ride:

Id be up for a ride if someone wants to plan it. Sometime Id like a few of you to come up my way for a ride. There are some awesome roads Ive already found here. One of them leads to the coast, and another leads from McMinnville up over a mountain, and back down to bible creek, Actually, both could be run in one day. they kind of run into eachother. HEY! Who would be up for a weekend camping thing in the bible creek area? Would be awesome to do that before the weather turned nasty! Let me know. I'll start another thread just for this idea. dont want to hijack Karens post

Mike, I was going to suggest Bible Creek Rd & Nestucca River Rd out by Willamena. Unfortunately my company just informed me that they are putting me on a plane to go to a land far away to deal with a production issue. Oh well, maybe next week... Ride safe, keep the rubber side down and the shiny side up!

I just heard some folks - possibly including me - are meeting at Cycle Sports at 1:30 for a coast run.

I think I am going to wrestle with the blackberries around the house today. :bash:

I'd like to ride tomorrow though. I haven't done any of the roads east of here... Aufderheide (I know you guys did it last week), Old McKenzie Hwy, Cascade Lakes Highway... I guess there's also a good road outside of Cottage Grove... Steamboat I think? Anyone done that one? There is also a forest service road that just got paved last summer that runs from Cottage Grove to Oakridge that is supposed to be a great motorcycle road (I have directions), anyone up for one of those runs? Let me know. :D

Anyone up for a ride from Eugene to Monroe via Lovelake road, and from there to Alsea Falls. Then over from there to Alsea and back via Hwy 34 to Mary's Peak? I'll be leaving North Eugene at about 12:30 to 1:00 or so. We could meet
at Cyclesports on River Road. 541-954-4155 ( Yes I know, I have an OBNOXIOUS voicemail message)

The road through Alpine and to Alsea Falls and then on to Alsea was very clean and very nice. No debris to speak of . I met about 10 cars coming the other way. With a couple of them , I was very glad that I was well over to the Right, as they were taking their half out of the middle. All in all, it is still one of my very favorite roads.Quite smooth. Mary's Peak Road was in exceptional shape. They have recently chip-sealed it again and it was very, very clean and fast. The 100
foot stretch of gravel just before Parker Creek Falls is still there, and just as rough as always. It's still a very small inconvenience to deal with, as nice as the rest of the road is.
Went back to Eugene riding through Corvallis (lunch stop) and then turning south on Peoria Road.I guess that they must have repaved Peoria Road in the last few years, because it is so smooth and quick. Rolled through Harrisburg and Coburg and then home.
