hey all... its looking like there are a few riding without an endorsement, expired permit etc. ( just yesterday i pulled over to help a bike on the freeway and ended up escorting it to avoid an impound. i couldnt help the $600 ticket though) anyways... maybe we could buddy up with the not legals to take the msf class wih them? we could re-up our basic skills and have fun on someone elses bike while helping these folks get their endorsements. i wouldnt mind taking the class again for fun. any of you unendorsed or otherwise want to take the class let me know, ill take it again. its a hard hit in the wallet(or purse) for something that could easily be avioded.
ride it till the wheels fall off

Jennifer, I know you are well intentioned in suggesting this as a way of promoting unendorced riders to take the class and get endorsed. But there are such limited spots available and most new riders already have a hard time getting a spot in the classes, that it is probably better for already endorsed riders not take up spots that could help unendorsed rider to get endorsed.

I would suggest as an alternative that those rider already riding, but unendorced, take the intermediate class. Which I have heard will also earn you your endorcement and is much easier to get into. This would allow both experienced riders and newer riders to take the same class without using up limited resources intended for the most basic begining rider.

hey tom...youre right about that.. how about they take the class and i go do a little jig?? i dont know... id like to take the basic class on my own bike and would pick that one simply because you get far more range time as well as class time opposed to the intermediate... either way. im just trying to think of ways to help some folks get right. im in the middle of about my 8th of 9th person im teaching to ride. so far all are endorsed and all but two are females. i cant do it all myself but i certianly want to support safe learning and riding to the newsters or even the oldsters(got one on it at 82!!!) anyways... do you have any ideas???

ya know, i thought about that but i cant do the hot/sun days. im good in the rain and cold but cant stand out in the sun. anything over 70ish is getting to be a pain. i wonder if theyd take me to do the inclimate days that no-one else wants? :rad:

when i first started riding i was met with no support and quite a bit of resistance. i turned out fine but things would have been easier if i had someone to discuss riding and to learn from. the info that i did get was way off base and sometimes dangerous. it is for this reason i go outta my way to help folks learn to ride and to do it safely. i dont really care what you ride(even if its a harlie) just that you have the best platform to jump from.

thanks for the nod.. :victory-s
