Wolf Creek is in good shape a few pieces of tree about mid point up, but other than that very little gravel or debris all the way to the store where the turn to go to cottage grove is.
Ride Safe Everyone:thumbup:

I was up there yesterday, 90% clear with only a few wet patches. I highly recommend a sighting run first.

WOW, I burnt the tires off on wolf creek today all the way through to cottage grove, it was warm, dry, and awesome! No animals:3cycle: some cars, man they ruined some good corners:curvy-roa but they got passed real quick only to disappear in my mirrors, maybe it is the heat, I always have better rides when it is hot:devil:
If today was the last warm sunny day for the year I would be okay with that because of such an awesome ride today:thumbup: Hope you all are enjoying this great weather.
Stay safe

I went to work but, ended up leaving around 4pm or so, and just had to get out and ride, too much garbage in my head:confused: had to clear my mind, and you know a ride is the best for that:yes: but hey it is time to start thinking of the dirt thing! I am going to get one in the next 2 weeks for sure, you know we could make a track at my house and everyone who has one could come over a ride dirt for the winter:rad: Just think a whole lot of mini's running around and jumpin SOUNDS like fun ah. Let's do it!:clapping:

Just did Wolf Creek today. There was a fair amount of pea gravel near the top and some lower down as well. It was still a lot of fun. Fox hollow also had a lot of gravel. More than last time I took it 10 or so days ago, they must have sanded the roads with the cold weather. It's just going to get better from here on. :bounce:

Peoria? me slow, clarify please? Rd, town?peoria is a road that you take south from corvallis and it hits eugene... i think it may hook into hwy99 or turn into it or something. its a pretty cool road though keshtie, we'll probably hit it more than a few times this summer

Yah, It's a cool road. It's one of those roads with nice LONG corners with very few cars that you can haul @$$ on!

Current conditon is dry and sunny. watch for lots of gravel, specifically the pea gravel to give much mid corner hassle. Keep your speeds at about 40% skill level and you should have no problem warning! after you pass the houses on the start of wolf creek and begin you asent, beware the second corner in. It is highly cluttered with large gravel spread across both lanes. I used little lean and kept it mostly up right for the ride from the stop sign / cutoff and on into veneta. second bridge 3/4 of the way over there is spray painted signs left from some kind of marathon. You will see the words "eat this" or "eat sh!t" or something to that effect. when you see this spray painted on the road, that is the cue to get as far over to the center of the road as possible, or face a rim denting bone and nut crunching pot hole. Did I mention lots of gravel? keep your speeds reasonable, at least until we can sweep it! can't impress this enough. on the return trip from veneta, expect moss and grunge growing on the road in the spots that see no sunlight. once you peek the mountain, on the down hill side watch the seams for the sunken pavement. stay left or right of the seam. right side has sunk more since last year it seems. turning back on to wolf creek proper reminds me why we ride the road as much as we do. up hill through the clear cuts is specatcular and clear. fast sweepers all the way up to the top with nary any gravel. once the asent is over take your time, it's not a race and the road is in reasonable conditon. Just Remember the second to last turn is very nasty with the gravel. back into the housing area, the road clears up again and makes for an enjoyable ride.

damn, dan... that was some serious detail! wish i had read this before i rode it today... it didnt seem all that bad except for that gravel across both lanes. luckily i saw it with enough time to sufficiently slow down and straighten up. good ridin' weather today!!!
