howdy racers.. so im getting into serious thinking about taking a track day. ill be on my hurricane. i guess things need to be safety wired and the antifreeze replaced with the wetter stuff and the plastic light areas taped. what about it?? i should be good to go with everything else, tires and gear. would any of you racer folk be willing to help me out to get started with this??
thank you
jennifer

As far as I know you don't need safety wire your bike and change antifreeze...
1 piece or 2 zip together leathers, boots covering pants, gloves covering suit, back protector (don't think requres for B and C groups but recommended)
Lights taped, no mirrors and good tires as of what I know

if you going to do it in portland none of the trackday orgs
require to drain the anti freeze

Track days are way more casual than racing. Usually nowadays disconecting the brake light and removing/taping mirrors gets you in with proper riding gear. All providers rules are slightly different, so read their requirements first.
Have fun ;)
