For those of you at bike nite tonight that heard and then wanted to know all about my horn upgrade, here's the link to the site where I bought it. It is a Stebel Nautilus Air Horn and puts out 139db.

http://www.twistedthrottle.com/trade/productview/2137

I replaced the stock horn with this one just before my trip to California. I knew that I'd probably need something a bit louder than my Herbie-horn when dealing with 6 lanes of freeway traffic.

Fact is, it only got used in the tunnels on my way down. Guess it's better to be prepared though!

A relay comes with it, and you need to wire it in otherwise you'll burn up your trigger. I wired mine directly to the battery with some beefier wire. I had to create a bracket for it out of mild steel, but was able to hide everything behind the left fairing. The unit is very compact!

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT lite this thing off in your garage. Please Please take my word for it!

i rode with a rat bike that has a train type horn and at a stop the guy let it off and i close to hit the deck. its a fun little trick he likes to do. you can tell who has heard the thing before. they dont flinch.... be seen and heard!! lol

I should be there tonight!

Funny story, at SportBike NW I was running down I84 and this Mustang in front of me was passing a semi truck. The kids in the back seat wanted the semi to honk his horn, so he did. Then I thought I'd honk too...... my horn was LOUDER than his semi horn!!! He spun around in his seat and looked at me and the look on his face was just classic.

There were also trains going by the campsite every hour or so... and there are lots of tunnels on highway 14 (Washington side). I traditionally honk through tunnels, so was doing it A LOT during the event... had a few people ask me about it cause they could hear it from the campsite... that was pretty funny too.

I love this horn...

I recently acquired one of the Stebel Nautilius Air horns and absolutely love the Commanding presence that happens when I press the horn button.. I would highly recommend this horn for all of our friends at ESB.com..

Hello, FJmam.
