ALBANY, Ore. (AP) - Oregon State Police say two people have died in a head-on traffic collision east of Albany.
Highway officials say a stretch of Oregon 20 was closed for about two and a half hours after the Friday afternoon crash.
State Police say a 46-year-old Lebanon woman, Michelle Irma Eldridge, was driving westbound. She began to pass a vehicle but collided head-on with an eastbound Harley Davidson motorcycle ridden by 50-year-old Rick Dale Stephenson of Kelso, Wash. Police say both Eldridge and Stephenson were killed.
Lt. Mark Cotter says Stephenson was traveling with another motorcycle rider who was following a short distance behind him and saw the crash. That rider was not injured.
