Ok so the news said 242 is now open!? I may ride it Wednesday or thur.

That sucks ASS!! Well, not really. It just sucks when a great road opens up and you have an F'N cast on your wrist.

Let's cut that damm thing off and ride! LOL J/k I have only been up there one time long ago in a POS car. So if I go up on a week day should be less traffic.?

BTW - There isn't really traffic up there ever, even on 3 day weekends. You'll be fine from that perspective whenever you go...

For the most part was a good ride some road work still and gravel in most of the corners.

Me and a couple others road the great 242 on the 12th and like said above there is still a good amount of gravel in spots on the new pavement but the corners that are good...are real good :) and the older pavement section (sisters side) was clean and clear of gravel as well as traffic.

Also rode Aufterheide same day, will post up on that in another thread

Came back from Prineville over 242 today. Fall colors are starting to get bright, so get up there while you can before the snow sets in!

A bit of gravel in a few corners (they may have sanded a couple corners with lava rock during the snow a few days back, but most of it is gone). That new pavement is awesome! Can't wait to do it on the bike.

Anyways, just a report since I didn't have the bike (but the Silverado does corner nicely too......)

Hey, I just got done walking miles and miles for 2 days, and I had a hottie in the passenger seat that had't been up to the lava beds since she was a kid. So, bonus points I guess... :redface:
