Well I got my time off approved. :rad: I will be signing up this weekend. :victory-s :ride: Got a little work left to do on the Thunder kitty, then all should be good.

The only rub is that I forgot that I have a work obligation the Sunday before the track day, so I won't be able to head up early. Work out the details later.

Like Alex said, hope the weather gods play ball.

No kidding, long time no see, Eric. :drinking:

Yeah, I am thinking about heading up that morning, as well. I would probably take off around 5am, unless I run up the night before. Don't wanna be too tired for the drive home. :pooped:

Well.. I have some bad news....
I got a call from Russian consulate and they told me my passport is ready and I have to go and get it... (which is awesome by itself...)
So I'll be going to San Fran Monday, had to take the day off work for it and I don't think they'll let me leave next Monday too...
The good thing is that I am waiting on the rearset, so I should be race legal very soon so may be next month...:sad::sad:

Almost got the T-Kitty ready for the track. I have been stripping it down to track only prep, loosing all the lights and unused wire-harnesses. But the headlight is a major portion of the front fairing, so I had to make a custom fiberglass piece to fill the hole.

This was my first time working with fiberglass. I could do a much better job now that I have a little experience under my belt, but this piece should work fine for its intended purpose.

I didn't want to put much effort into making it look pretty, cause I really don't care. But I also couldn't resist personalizing it a little. :smilewink

Primer white base over the resin, tape, spray and remove tape....

...Next comes clear, just for a little protection.

Do I, need to spell-out that you are the domineering soup spoon to the quavering little teaspoon.

Just got word the other day that KnightRider will not be attending the track day. So unless someone else is coming, it looks like it is just going to be Eric and I (like usual  ). :ride::ride:

I am definitely going, but I got a nasty hornet sting on my leg the other day, and am having to take meds for it. Luckily the meds are a 5 day course. So I should be all better by Monday. :rad:

(The pic doesn't do it justice, and the meds have reduced the swelling and redness quite a bit. I got stung Sunday, and it took about a day to start swelling and become quite painful.)

As soon as practicable, apply common household ammonia to the area with a cotton ball. But it sounds like you are highly allergic to the venom, so it might not be as efficacious with you.

TOM-CAT

I have had many bee stings over the course of my short life, but have never had a reaction like this before. Even the initial sting seemed to pack a punch a few times that of a normal bee sting. Like getting shot in the leg with a hot nail.

I have even been stung over my eye and had only a mild reaction by comparison.

:idunno:

I have heard that you can build up an allergy to bee stings and the like, from multiple exposures over time. I certainly hope that is not the case, because I am quite partial to spending time outdoors, and bee stings are just unavoidable from time to time.

The only thing that could stop me from having fun at a track day, would be not going. :rad:

Its also possible you got stung by a bee that had been feasting on something poisonous...happens all the time down where I grew up because of the rattle snakes...allergies to bee stings suck!

Well after all that work getting the T-Cat track ready. She won't fire. :yell:Thought it was electrical. Drained the battery trying to fire her up, but now I am thinking the fuel went bad in the bike. So she will be a no show at this track day. :mecry:

Just have the R6 to run, so I will have to dial it back a bit. :ride: Don't wanna throw that one down the tarmac.

Eric and I had fun out there. :ride: :ride:

It was kinda hot but not unbearable. The wind picked up in the afternoon, and took a few casualties. One of whom was Eric's second pop-up canopy. We were both out on the track when it happened. But the story goes that the Pirelli tire guy's two canopies flew over the trailer and landed on Eric's canopy and smooshed it.

There were also some nice bikes out at the event. At least two Desmos, a couple 1198s, some 1098s, and 848s. An RC8, some hypermotards, supermotards, lots of race bikes, etc. etc.

All in all, a good day.

(Now to get ready for Sundays track day. )
