Yes, there were two wrecks that day. Here is what I posted in the other thread...

I just got home and am supprised that noone has posted about todays ride yet. I guess I'll do what I can to fill you in...
We met at the AM-PM as planned. Got to Aufterheide, as planned. But shortly those plans took an alltogether diffrent route. The FIRST crash of the day happened to be poisonIvyR1. If he chooses to do so, I will let him fill you in on the details, but from what I understand, he was going into a right hander onto a bridge, the bump at the bridge stood his bike up and to avoide a high-side, he streightened it out and went for a little off-road excursion which ended with his bike on its side in some deep sand. A few zip-ties and some ducktape later he was on his way again. No physical injury there thank goodness. It just disturbs me that so many R1's have gone down this year...I just KNOW that there is a number on mine somewhere...
Anyway...About 2/3's of the way through the ride, a rider on a yamaha FZ1 (?) low sided in a left hander, and according to Tom_Cat (Who was riding behind him) His bike caught something while sliding and both rider and bike went airborn. The bike went over a large log and down an enbankment, while the rider landed at the base of the log and in alot of pain. I dont know the details yet. and Im sure that when they are known, they will be posted. But from my observations, The rider (I do not know his name and he wasnt one of the regular riders from the local area) was in some pain and complained that his left shoulder was in pain and his back did hurt. There was talk that perhaps his shoulder could have been broken and possibly a cracked vertebrea. But he was sitting up, and talking. We found out later, at Karen's BBQ get together, that the rider had been ambulanced to an area where he was then life flighted to Sacred Heart for further evaluation. If you know more about this rider and his condition, feel free to post what you know. But we will keep him and his family in our families prayers and good thoughts.
I dont want to overshadow the ride with those two experiences. The ride was AWESOME! and the BBQ afterwards was really great! Thanks Karen for your warm hospitallity and great food!! And thanks to everyone who went on the ride! I believe we had somewhere between 25 and 30 riders total on the ride!
There were a few people on the ride with camera's and Im hoping that they will post pics of the ride soon.

And then what PoisonivyR1 wrote:

thanks to karen and everyone that went yesterday

No kiddding. Glad you all are ok. It's actually kinda scary cause where that blue bike went down, looks exactly like the stretch of road where a friend of ours on sb.ws went down a year ago. Thats a tricky road if you're not careful.
