Too much lean and too much acceleration on cold wet pavement and on cold tires. The tail whipped out, and then gripped to throw me high side. I'm fine and the bike still runs, but there is plenty of damage. My guess would be in the $3,000 range. All sorts of broken bits:clapping: Honestly, I don't even feel like spending the majority of my insurance $$$ on fairings, so it shall become a Street Fighter! I'll put up some damage pics when I get back home. I had to get to work and was too pissed to fully assess the damage. The frame sliders and swingarm spools saved the heart of my baby, not to mention my right knee when I was slammed down with the bike:bounce:

For some strange reason, I'm not all that upset.. Hey, now I have an excuse to get custom.

Sorry about the bike, but I'm glad you're OK. That's the important thing. The bike can be fixed in good time.

Damn Alan, sorry about the bum ride. It gets easier the more you do it though. :smilewink

At least the girl wasn't on the back. You never would have heard the end of that. :wife

Give it a week before you make any major decisions. Remember this might be considered an at fault crash. If you haven't already reported the crash to your insurance company, do you really want to? Your premiums might take a hit, and if your not going to put the money into the bike, do you need the insurance payout? With premium hikes involved, it might turn into a high interest loan that you still pay for, even after you made up the difference. Just something to think about. Hope you feel better soon, man.

Hey! Sorry to hear what happened to 636
Make a street fighter/stunt bike, they look very good with cages and stuff...
Whatever you decide to do with it don't give it away to insurance, may be I could buy it...
I am sure I saw you yesterday(I think) on w11th...
Get better for you and bike soon!
