So wheelies are lick coke for me... I get ready to rip a big ol line down a road... instantly feeling better about being alive... but wheelies are cheaper...lol and well, not as illegal.

Bought my new FJR in May, and had never done a wheelie on any bike ever. I wanted to try, and thought I was just too fat to get it in the air:censored: , but I wanted to try it just once. Got some advice from guys on fjrforum and watched the vid. Went out and tried and tried and finally got a foot off the ground for a short while. I was happy enough :ride: and didn't push my luck.
Not a week later, I was at a four way intersection in Drain. Lady pulls up in an old Chrysler and waves me on, then jumps a bit. We did the "dance" and finally I decided I was not going to get T-boned. So I brought it up to 4 grand and let out the clutch....did a wheelie a foot and a half high through the intersection and came down 50 feet further on :rad: , hit the gas and she was still sitting there....... wish I could have seen her face :wow8: . Funny, I wasn't trying to wheelie! But damn! it was fun.......

 Awesome! I actually saw a nice FJR Identicle to your bike today after riding for a bit. I was practicing wheelies off of a curb into the street just messin around. lol. Its good to practice those things because you never know when youre going to be riding down the road and come across a 2x4 chunk of wood or even one of those pieces of big truck tire, and NEED to wheelie to save your life.

Your bike will take much more technique, but it should still be possible. If the clutch was in better shape on my wife's EX500 I could wheelie it.

i can wheelie it, it takes about 10 grand then drop the clutch at 15-20 mph. my tires will chrip the first 2 or 3 tries until it gets sticky.

Every bike has asweet spot...and getting past that window that sucks all your power out is where the 500 is gonna bite you in the ass... once u get passed that you should be fine...
