my bike is so fantastical that they dont bother to make any aftermarket anythings for it. i found an integrated taillight kit (thanks to ron letting me know that they do, in fact, make them)... but that is all. cant get plastics (well, thats a lie, i found a place that sells them completely unfinished, but i dont have the time or know-how to finish them) or flushmount signals or anything. someone needs to make this stuff, because there are a lot of those little bastards on the road... i cant possibly be the only one on one that wants to change the look of their bike.. can i? :yell:

With the right amount of know how and the want to do it badly enough, you can make that bike of yours look like a ZX10. You dont have to wait for flush mounts for your exact year make and model bike. Just get a pair that are close, and make them work. Hell, I have a tank protector on my '06 Yamaha R1 that came in a package that was marked in BIG BRIGHT letters that said "SUZUKI". lol. Let me know what you want to do to your bike Tess, and lets find a way to "Get-Er-Done".

hey thanks mike! i really appreciate the offer to help, but i'm thinking that instead of spending the money and putting forth all that effort, i'll just save up and buy a different bike. i'm really ready for something a little bigger i think.... my first clue was when i started cursing my rev limiter in 5th gear haha:yell:

you might try and contact PaintedPretty33. I think she is looking for a bike and yours might be right up her alley. If it is for sale that is.

thats a good idea... i might ask her about it. i still need to check out exactly what i want to move up to and how much my insurance will be. if i cant afford the insurance, it seems pointless to get something else. something tells me that if the liability-only insurance on my car is crazy like it is, then the insurance (most likely full coverage) on the 600 gsxr will be astronomical.

not really....I don't know your insurance history but I had a ninja 250 for my first bike when I was 18 and after three months I got t-boned in an intersection, totaling the bike. Less than a year later I bought my R6 and insurance on it was actually alot cheaper than was on the ninja. Look into it... you might be pleasantly surprised.
Hey, I've got an '05 Ninja 500, and have found the same problem. I fortuantely had a friend who fabricated and powder coated a fender eliminator kit for me, but I do know that there are several after market exhaust systems for the 500 out there, I've looked. They aren't too badly priced either, so if you want a little extra kick til you can upgrade ( I feel ya there, I realllly want to upgrade mine too), a full exhaust system might be a good investment.
