You mean it got better right? Looks like a great time. I've been down and (fairly)uninjured so many times on dirt and sand its ridiculous - but thats why its fun.

I have always wondered what its like to ride one of those bimmer dual sports in the dirt. I grew up riding dirtbikes and frankly, the idea of riding a 500 lb bike in the dirt sounds kind of scary. What is the attraction to the BMW over something like a KTM 525 EXC? Pics make it look fun though.

Do it up! post any pics of anything offroad related

Red,

The GS is the first dual sport I've had. When I went to buy another bike, I needed something I could commute on, and after 2 years of riding the RC to work and back year round, I was through. Now that she's a track bike I love her even more..

but back to the GS. She'll do anything a 250lb dirt bike will, but the question you have to ask is why would you? All that heft is just a pain in the butt when the riding gets technical. I was about to buy a small dirt bike to really learn on (have you seen my wheelies? pathetic :kfc:), but I might be going to Europe again next year so I'm saving my pennies. For now, the GS does everthing well, but nothing great. I really love this bike though, she's never done me wrong and each mile leaves a smile on my face. can't ask for much more
