So I had court today, ready to defend against a BS ticket given to me this summer. I have been preparing for it and ready to go. All this morning I was going over everything and making sure everything was in order. I get to court early and sit through a couple other cases before mine so I can get a feel for how the Judge is. Well turns out he was the first Judge that make the cops prove things instead of just saying "they did it." Anyway. So my case gets called and the officer isn't there. I am thinking sweet, dismissed. But the Judge says we should check the parking lot first before he throws it out. Well about the time I get up to check for him (like I would say I saw him in the parking lot even if I did recognize him), the stupid cop finally strolls into court. So after the little swearing in stuff the officer provides his testimony. In the process, he gets the wrong day, time, car, location... pretty much everything. So when the Judge asked me if I have any questions for the cop I start off by asking if he could remember the stop with out his notes, he said no. Then I asked if he could please repeat what kind of car I was in. Anyway, I destroy the cop. He brought the wrong traffic stop report with him to court. So after I establish that the judge notices I am kinda just rubbing it in the cops face because I start asking, did you even bring my report with you or did you forget it and stuff like that. So he stops me, and says that I should stop asking questions because they could provide the officer with a chance to correct his mistakes. And unless I have a problem with it he will save our time and dismiss it now instead of waiting for the show to be over. So long story short, my awesome defense wasn't even touched, all I got to do was embarrass the shit out of the cop. Thats the first ticket ever that has gone my way :) Time to go for a ride to celibate :victory-s lol

Good on you mate. Especially if it really was a "bs" ticket. Gotta say that as we have only your word :). I'm sympathetic to meaningful LE, but it seems that so much of what happens, especially in traffic is truly bs. A few weeks ago my fiancee' got a $245.00 ticket in a sting where a LEO was parked on the side of I5 just before the road widened into more lanes. Larisa wasn't speeding (my god, this woman has only gotten one ticket in her whole life and drives me nuts with how slow she drives) BUT didn't get in the left lane until the road widened a few yards down the road from the cop. Another LEO then stopped her and gave her this ticket for RECKLESS DRIVING - failing to maintain a safe distance from an emergency vehicle.
I'd better sign off now or I'll regret what I write next.:bash:
