I will be attending the Motocorsa track day this monday. If anyone is in the Portland area and feels like stoppping by should be cool. It shouldn't be hard to find me, Ill be the guy sitting around watching all of the other people, who actually know what they are doing.:confused::lol:

What time are you heading up? I have to go to mikes cycle in Salem today. I could ride with you that far. I was planning on leaving around 9 or 10.
Lemme know.

Tomcat,
I'm itching to know how it went on Monday. How was the turnout? Any good stories? Was it bikes and cars or bikes only? I'm super envious and can't wait until I save up to get a good set of leathers so I can get out there and join you... Next season it is.

Sorry TAT2D, I just read your post. Atually I was already up in Ptown when I wrote that post. The trackdays start at like 7:30am so it is best to get up there a day early. Driving up in the morning is totally do-able for car trackdays, but it is kinda too taxing for bike days.
So yeah, the day went pretty well for most of us (about 3/4) the turnout seemed pretty high I believe all of the groups were full. With about somewere between 25+ riders per group, never did take a count of the actuall numbers. But yeah it was a pretty intense day. We had aprox. 20 bikes go down. An average of more than one per session, with 18 sessions in the day. I believe at one point we have three bikes go down in one session. It was a pretty non-stop-action kinda day. I am very glad to report that none of the crashes resulted in any serious injury.:clapping:
On a personal level I feel that my comfort level is increasing, but that I gave a poor performance on Mon. I believe that I was experiencing a mental block that happened as a result of a near lowside-to-highside-to-off the track that happened in the last lap of the last session of my previouse trackday. So having ended my last trackday in that way was not a great transitionary point leading into this previous trackday.
I really would like to make one more trackday before the end of the season, but that remains to be determined. All in all it was a great day that I got to ride home from, which in my opinon is the most important part.:ride:

20 bikes going down sounds high for a trackday, was there any reason for all the downs like the track being wet or something? Anyway, if nobody got really hurt and you were not one of the 20, sounds like a good day to me:) .
Can't wait till next summer to do some of the trackdays at P.I.R. I have never been on that track but it sounds like they have a preety good thing going on there. Got any pics?
