A guy I work with is getting on in years and this morning I was joking around with him about what his plans were for next year. I asked him if he was planning on kickin the bucket any time soon because I have a project coming up soon and will need his help. He said it was funny I asked because him and his wife just went to a funeral home a few weeks ago to make plans for after they die. Apparently is cost about 2 grand to get a respectful and dignified cremation but you can find deals around for about 700 bucks (BBQ style he thinks). I know it cost a grip more to actually get buried. So the question we came up with is, If you donate your body to science, is it a tax "write off"? It is, after all, a donation and there is a price tag attached to each of our heads. Can you write it off before you die? Do your kids get to write off the donation????

Happy holidays!

P.S G/D its slow in here..........

That's a good question. Quite frankly I don't care what happens to the ol hunk of meat after I die. I'd take cash up front for a science donation though. I could use it to buy tires for my next track day

I think it would depend on what, if anything, is still usable at the time you croak. I don't intend to have much of anything salvageable; I'm workin' on wearing it out as fast as I can!
Hmmm, let's see:
Brain, definitely gone; most of it consumed by cannibis smoke and booze between 1974 and 1983. Only useful as a case study in hard living.
Eyes, still good after lasik, might be worth something.
Internal organs, have to wait and see what's left and still working.
Bones/joints, better since starting glucosamine regimen, might be something there.

Hahaha. Don't sell yourself short, there' s gonna be plenny left for good ol' beef Jerky! That stuff is like 10 bucks a pound too:yes: Those eyes could be worth some $$$ - definitely write off that lasik as an investment.....

On a serious side, You do notice a difference in your health of joints taking Glucose? I was trying that stuff while I was running more often (as opposed to never now) but never really knew if it was making a difference. Dont they twin that stuff in pills with MSM(?) - I heard that is good stuff to take as well.
