:thumbup: 4 of us headed out around 1130 went up around Pyramid Lake and out to Mapleton. Always a fun and pretty ride. From there we headed down to Reedsport. It was a little foggy in Florence but the rest of the ride was superb, even a bit on the hot side.
I deserted the guys to continue their ride and headed back through Drain and Lorane. The Elk were out near the road a nice extra for the day.

Superhawk will have to fill in the rest of the ride. I have pics but can't figure out how to post them here. Be patient.:thinking:

Thanks guys for an excellent day and it was great to meet you. Look forward to more Mon./Tues. rides when we can arrange it. :blah-blah :blah-blah :blah-blah

Hey Keshtie. after you left, we headed north on 101 briefly and headed west on a road that turned into nothing more than a twisting, one lane paved road-no markings or signs that came out near Lorane Hwy. Can't remember what road it was:confused: . Somebody will fill in the blanks for me, I'm sure.

Can't remember what road it was From 101 it's Smith River Rd, but when you get to Lorane I think it's something else.


It was an AWSOME day. The weather was fantastic all day except in florence it was a little nippalie . I was shown another road today, Hwy 36, which I think just did a loop to Hwy 126. I got to tell ya that my peeps in Vegas have no idea what they are missing out here in Oregon.

I was good to meet and ride with some of you (it only took me all summer). Thanks Ben, Bobby and Keshtie, you gave me my fix and the shakes are gone.:D :D :ride: :cool: :cool: :):bounce:

WOW what a ride!!!:clapping: It was a blast 200+ miles not 1 cop, not 1 wreck, just 1 bad weather spot (Brrrrrrrrr Florence) I love Smith river rd.:rad: It was great to meet and ride with you all (Keshtie, Chad and Bobby). when headed east on smith river road, it splits... you can either go north on wolf creek, or south on siuslaw rd... both are beautiful roads! sounds like you guys had a great time, i would have much rather been doing that than working... but gotta make the gas money somehow, right? :idunno:

Bwell, i made it to bike night, but dont know where anything is in salem, so i'm not even going to try for that, i'll just get lost and be by myself on the way there & back... cant make the shoot on saturday, i'm doing a long ride that day. and sunday morning karen is helping me with the calendar pics, so i probably will be indisposed most of the 1st half of the day... wont get as many miles in this weekend as i'd hoped for, but i wont be TOO sad about it... i guess... :mecry:
