anyone work with potassium permanganate

I am looking for potassium permanganate not enough to blow anything up just and OZ or two . I just started with the lane county SAR and I would love to have a little of this as a impressive fire building backup for emergency purpose stuffed in my 24 hr backpack . I think it's used in pool /pond treatmant and film industry but I am not in a hurry to get on a NO FLY list so i don't want to ebay the stuff .

Indeed.. I've got four different fire starting methods in my gopack... in my supplies there are others. None will get you on any kind of list.
