Hey Rex, I have an idea...

The group from Klamath Falls and Medford get together once a year for a campout the same weekend our group has the bbq. This year, they decided to camp over at Florence at Lagoon campground, just south of town. They've started reserving spots (sites 11-14 so far I think).

What if we reserved a spot or two as well... camped with them, bbq'd, rode around a bit, etc? That way, people could come and go as their schedules allowed that weekend? Besides, that group may need to be introduced to our great roads over here...

Plus, as an added bonus... a couple of them are brewmasters and are bringing their own concoctions....

They are getting together August 12-14.

My suggestion would be to reserve sites 19 and 20 - they have the most space and grass for tents near the cluster the other group has started reserving.

I don't think my fifth wheel would fit or I would consider coming. Me and tents don't get along.

No it would not Flyte....but i would probably fit in your 5th wheel on the couch.

This sounds like a great time...will have to check the calender as the time approaches (since I dont have a calander). Right off the bat though, other peoples beer does sound tasty.

Site #20 is a pull through, so I can't see why the 5th wheel wouldn't fit...

The picture didn't do that site justice, but it is large.

I've camped there before, and those spots are plenty big enough for a 5th wheel. :)

I don't need a pull through scooter. I go backwards as well as I go forwards. However shoving 38 feet of trailer with 20 plus feet of truck isn't as easy as it sounds.

Geez Flyte. So come to eugene and get my little 22" and take her on her maiden voyage. she needs to get out of storage and see the world. She's old and heavy but clean and sleeps 4-5. I like that idea!
Of course I have no way to tow her or I would.
Volunteers?
Oh, hell I like that idea!

I say grab those spots in Florence Rex. This could be epic! :bounce:

22 feet?!? I could tow THAT with my motorcycle! j/k

I'm still up in the air on going. If I do, I could probably tow your trailer (with my truck, of course). :)

She's a 1978 Ideal. weighs 4000# according to the side plate.
That would be great. It also means you get first pick of where to sleep.
Has a big kitchen area, nice shower and bathroom.

No need for a camping spot for me since I already live here, but I'm certainly down for contributing $5 to the group.
Can I send it via Paypal? What email would I send it to?

Someone should call Rex and find out what's happening. I know he's been a bit discombobulated lately. He hasn't been posting and I haven't heard from him in over a month.

It is my considered opinion that the 5th annual BBQ isn't happening as previously planned.
Has anyone heard from Steve? I've been too busy to be a cheerleader this year.
Does anyone want to offer a different plan? Did anyone donate $ to this? If you did, have you spoken to Rex?

Please chime in.................

I think it would be nice for a group of like minded people to get together for a rather impromptu ride to a restaurant and back. The coast would be nice and it could be a barbecue place or not. Also a place I've been wanting to try since David (Emilio Lazardo) mentioned, Tomaselli's Pastry Mill and Cafe, 14836 Umpqua Hwy
Elkton, OR 97436. I would like for some of us to do this with Ty (Cliffjumper) before he leaves us before August the 21st. Any adrenaline/gastronomically inclined takers?:moped::lets-eat::yes:
