I guess this truck came over into the left lane and after he, (or she) went in between the barrier and the left lane, then lost control and crashed. (Most likely from debris and a high speed.)
Im waiting for the news at 11. They probably dont know anything either.

KEZI ran a small piece this AM. Said basically what we have already heard, and that they are looking for a large commercial truck pulling a brown or orange trailer. Didn't identify the rider. Said it happened near cottage grove.

COTTAGE GROVE, Ore. (AP) - Curry County Circuit Court judge Howard Lichtig died in a motorcycle crash near Cottage Grove.
Oregon State Police say the 56-year-old was riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle along Interstate-5 northbound yesterday. That's when a commercial truck moved into his lane. Lichtig swerved into the shoulder to avoid the truck and lost control.
He was found dead at the scene.
Witnesses told police that the truck continued without stopping. Police are still seeking witnesses to help locate the truck.
Lichtig practiced law in Coos and Curry counties and was sworn in as a Curry County Circuit Court judge in May.

Never even heard of the guy, but it sounds like a weird accident. Trucker probably didnt even know he was there, but if it was me, I would have been looking for a way out..... and NOT into the debris on the side of the road.
....kind of like BRAKES!!!!!!!!
He must have been sitting in the blind spot for some time.
Not taking away from the horrible incident, but it goes to show me that riding the same speed as trucks is NOT GOOD.
Ya I heard about that this morning from a friend. I'm really surprised there where witnesses that saw it...but no one followed the truck to even simply get a license plate number or anything!
