Did anybody take advantage of what could possibly be our last nice weekend of the year? Today wasn't so great, but yesterday was nice. I've learned to look at weather in a whole new way this past riding season. For me, rain is absolutely no fun on a street bike. Dirt bikes is another story, so a whole different riding season is starting, but I'm still looking for sunny afternoons to take a rip on the ol' gixxer. My first summer of ridng with you'll was a blast. I know the rain dance due to fire season shutting the forest down here in Oregon, so whats the sunshine dance?

I didn't ride this weekend, but if the weather is nice (completely dry asphalt) again soon I will definitely do an end of the season ride.

I left Florence at 10am on Saturday and headed up 101 to Waldport, then across 34 to Corvallis. From there Hwy 99 to Monmouth and then River road into Salem.
Then back
It was relatively cool and fairly wet in the morning, but I'm not parking the bike when it's raining. I just spent almost $500 on wet weather gear...pants / jacket / gloves. I let that stuff collect dust in the garage? Wifey would kill me :wife

Ahhhh man, Dont pack it away yet! We still got a dry one here or there comning. Plus that is nothing quite as cool or picturesque (besides dry streets of course!) as ripping through fallen, colored maple leafs out along the Siuslaw, cold crisp air biting the skin on your neck between your chin and your leathers. I also like how the roads seem to get deserted by all the sunny afternoon drivers and bicycles. Fall riding is sick....:rad:
