Well I guess it was my turn since I own an R1:crash: anyway we were riding wolf creek and for some reason i used my back brake to slow down for a turn, and bike locked up fishtailed and we went into the bushes on a critter hunt! he, he:bounce: wow what a dumb:mooning: thing to do huh. The bike has lots of broken plastic, fairing stay, and misc. things that broke. I am fine except for a bruised thigh, I am very glad that I had my full suit and gear on for sure! I always ride that way though, I guess that's why. Thank you to everyone (Mike, Dan, Kris, Ron, Matt) for the (gorilla) tapeing of my bike up so that I could ride it home, made it home safe, had some lunch watched some racing on speed and then went to check on damage. Anyway my guardian angel was with me for sure:angel: a Big Thanks to him as well.
Well I thought I would post it up, just FYI.
Thanks again to my ESB Brother's and Sisters! LOVE YA
Mason
I guess I am the limpin Hawaiian now:yes:
Well that's good to hear you made it home alright. That really is too bad though...that is a REALLY nice lookin bike. At least you weren't hurt too bad though, it could have been a lot worse!

Hey, Mason. I am glad you made it home ok, I was really worried. What a sickening sight to come around a corner to see. After I saw your bike in the bush, I was looking frantically to see if I could spot you, and I was trying to get off as fast as I could to see if you needed anything, but the ol' body wouldn't let me move quite so quickly.
Thanks to your Guardian Angel today. Glad you are ok, brother. Much love to ya!!!

Hey Mason, glad youre okay. Im sure the bike will be put back together in no time. Another testiment to the fact that protective gear works! Now we just need to get Matt into something besides jeans and a sweatshirt. I have those pics for you. just let me know what email you want them sent to. I also have video of Matt almost loosing it in that corner where we stoped to video. You werent the only one down today either. Apparently TAT2D low-sided as well. I saw him at Ron's house this evening, and he's okay. I think he was more afraid to go home and tell his wife what happened. Oh well. Life goes on. Youre walkin and breathin, and thats the most important thing.

Haha, that was really wierd. It didn't feel like I hit any big rocks...it must have just been some really little pieces there.
I want to see that on video though. Can you even tell that I slid?

yea and next time we will find you some gear too. sorry to be hounding the subject, but that would have been really bad in what you were wearing buddy. Im looking through my stuff now and am going to get with Ron to come up with somthing untill you can get your own.
It's ok, I'll probably go buy a jacket sometime this week if I get a chance. And I do have pants (for dirtbikes, but pretty much the same thing) but I just never wear themhttp://eugenesportbike.com/forum/images/smilies/newsmilies/crazy.gif.

Hey Mason, glad you are okay! I feel your pain, brother!:mecry: I totally second what everyone has said about gear. I have a sore knee(something hit it right next to my armor), and my neck and back are really sore from being bodyslammed into the bank, but it would have been worse without gear.
Now the fun part comes......Telling our insurance agents:frown: :idunno:

careful on that yellow line boys and girls. I went up there shooting yesterday and almost hit a biker going up then coming back down because of them almost crossing the yellow.

So...would you care to explain WTF you were doing over the double yellow?
Only Asshats cross the DY like that.
Call me grumpy. Call me whatever you want - but stop crossing the DY.

Asshat? :bash: What kind of side saddle pony rider bashes someone shortly after
they escape serious injury? Take your underpowered POS Britbike and your Poser attitude and go post on Rosie O' Donnell's forum. We don't need your wannabe Rocker negativity here. You are probably just pissed because you made 2 bad choices in purchasing bikes. This is the SPORTBIKE forum:2cents:

Lemme see. To be a "rocker" you usually rode 100+ MPH swerving between cars, lorries, and other bikes after you had a few pints at one pub, on to the next pub , one pub after another, all night long. Thruxton= British Harley Sportster.
Every article on them says they are terribly underpowered, overweight, feeble imitations of the bikes they try poorly to emulate. It doesn't matter if it was 8 months or 8 years. His reply was out of left field.
ZRX_PAUL
06-07-2007, 10:42 PM
I did realize that he was referring to the video of Matt almost going down, not Mason's wreck. His post was a week ago, not 8 months.
And finally, Everyone Is Entitled To My Opinion.
(Of course that doesn't mean any of you want to hear my 2 cents)

Everyone makes mistakes, so to call people names and act like that ( thruxtonrider ) we do not need it on this forum . Paul chill it is all good man:yes:

:ride: I just had a big can of Ak-rite myself , so I should be better. We all cross a line or two occasionally , or make a 150 mph blast down the road. It doesn't mean we are stupid or anything, just blowing off a little steam. I do try to never endanger other riders or those in cars or trucks. I guess I'll try to word my replies a tiny bit more "PC" in the future. When I saw the video of Matt, I was just glad he came out of it safely, insterad of attacking his character for having a close call. Thanks for the Positive words of encouragement, Lee
